QR Regional Freight is a Queensland-based freight and logistics business that

provides general and retail freight services for customers throughout the state.

Through its national rail, road and distribution network, it provides door-to-door freight for a wide range of customers. They include fast-moving consumer goods, retail, industrial, livestock, agricultural, mining and resources.

The business also provides operational services and solutions for QR’s Coal, Bulk, Intermodal and Passenger businesses throughout Queensland.

In 2008/09 the focus of the business was on improved customer services, cost control and long term planning. It also successfully implemented a modal shift for general freight on the Townsville to Mount Isa rail corridor, providing a faster and more reliable service for customers and a more efficient one to operate.

In February 2009, Regional Freight worked with customers, community representatives and competitors to help flood-bound communities in North Queensland.
